Doctor's Ranked

So, I've been watching a lot of Doctor Who recently and decided to rank my favourite Doctor's. As a show Doctor Who is something that I used to stay up to four in the morning watching because it gave me the escapism I needed. It taught me about myself and the world. It made me laugh and introduced me to characters and stories that would inspire me to create my own. I've always been more into the Classic series, which is reflected in this ranking.

SECOND
The Second Doctor was the Doctor that I was first drawn to because of his carefree and jolly nature. This was the Doctor that I would stay up till four o'clock, praying that the morning would never come. He was silly. He was interested in everything around him. He was himself. There's a bravery in this. It's something he taught me. When I felt alone, he was there to pull me into adventures against Cybermen, Yeti's and, Omega. There was nothing that this Doctor would not face. With his companions, recorder, and over-expressive face he was the Doctor that made the world better.

SEVENTH
In all fairness, the Seventh Doctor travelled with Ace, one of the best companions, so I have a bias towards him. Alongside, that this Doctor was openly darker than any before him. This darkness could be offputting and was most often seen in his manipulation of those around him. Yet, this devious side to the Doctor was always there. The Seventh Doctor just embraced it. He taught me to accept all parts of myself. To embrace the good and bad. That someone who is only good, is most likely lying, and probably a bit dull.

SIXTH
While most people see the Sixth Doctor as rude, cruel, and irritating. Not to me. Maybe because he did a crossover with the Second Doctor. Maybe because I like his coat. Or, just maybe because I looked beneath the surface to find what he hid beneath that garish personality. His relationships with his companions are some of the most fascinating and of all the Doctor's he relies on them more than others. They helped to anchor him and allowed for some brilliant episodes. Overall, the Sixth Doctor was true to himself. That's what he taught me.

ELEVENTH
The first non-classic Doctor is the Eleventh. It was during his era that I fell in love with the reboot. He reminded me of the Second Doctor. Silly, childish and, fantastic companions. After the Tenth Doctor, his silliness was like a breath of fresh air. Although he did carry over some of the darkness that his previous incarnations contained. Eleven taught me that no matter how dark our past that the future can always be bright. This is a Doctor who built himself a family, allowed himself to move on from the Time War and brought back the bow-tie.

TWELVE
I fell in love with Twelve when he chased after a dinosaur and open his heart to it. It was so strange that it endeared him to me. Once again, this Doctor did not care about his oddities, embraced them and found companions that accepted him for who he was. Twelve and Bill were a fantastic pair to watch, bouncing off one another. seem to other people. That hugs might not be the end of the world. Also, The Husband's of River Song is one of the best Doctor Who episodes.

This ranking has rarely changed over the years but I'm excited to see if any new Doctor's can make their way into my top five.

Shang-Chi Marks A New And Exciting Phase For The MCU

In 2008 the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched itself onto screens around the world with Iron Man . Now in 2021 Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings launches its first Asian lead.                                                                                                                                                       Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings introduction to the MCU was rocked by a global pandemic, viewed as experimental by Disney, and lacked the same promotion given to its predecessors. Yet, it has proved itself to be a fan favourite and one of Marvel’s most cinematically exciting films. Simu-Lu portrays the first Asian superhero and guides audiences through Shang-Chi’s journey in accepting his past, embracing his family and the power that comes with owning the ten rings.   Family Held The Movie Together  Shang-Chi is a movie driven by family dynamics and here Marvel managed to write siblings who felt realistic, without killing off one of the

Puzzle Piece vs Infinity Symbol

Both the infinity symbol and the puzzle piece have been used as a symbol for the Autistic community, and yet represent very different attitudes towards Autism.  The puzzle piece was first used in the UK in 1963 by the Autism Society, (although they no longer use this image), chosen and designed by non-autistic people. The original puzzle piece included a weeping child to show how autistic people apparently suffered from their conditions and to reflect how autism was seen as puzzling. It represents the idea that autistic people have missing pieces, are puzzles to be solved, and that autism is a childish disability. Each of which is a harmful stereotype.  Nowadays the puzzle piece is associated with Autism Speaks, which is seen as a hate group by the majority of autistic people. Autism Speaks has yet to show that it has autistic peoples interests in mind, rather than promoting cures and harmful stereotypes about autism, among many other harmful things.  Whereas, the infinity symbol, as
